Well summer is officially over. The kids are heading back to school. We are all wondering where did summer go. Savannah is entering 10th, Logan 8th and London 5th. Wow hard to believe how much they have grown.

The drywall and brick showed up today. All looks great. I will keep you posted as the brick and drywall go up.
Hey all I know it’s been a little while since I posted about the house. It was going like crazy, now it seems things are slowing a bit well at least it doesn’t look like much anyway. All the plumbing, electrical, (and we had a lot of extra lighting added) structure wiring and insulation are all in. It looks really good. We almost had a little mishap with some wiring. I really wanted to add some of my own wiring and decided I would. Well the builder wasn’t to pleased about that but after a little discussion and I think he could see I know what I’m doing he let the wiring stay. Wow I was glad about that. Now we are waiting on an inspection and then drywall should show up tomorrow or Monday. After that it will take about 3 days to put up all the drywall and about a week to tape mud and sand it. After that we should receive a closing date about 45-50 days out.
Things have been moving right along with the house. Over the last week, they have completed the roof, installed the fireplace, windows are in and they completed the plumbing today. Our builder called today and said that he will need to meet with us middle or end of next week to do a pre drywall inspection. From the end of drywall install we should be 45 days from closing. I have uploaded some more pictures on picasa.

London had her braces put on today, after having 7 teeth pulled out last week. She is very excited. Dr J had to put a special bracket in the top of her mouth to help hold her teeth in place since she is missing so many for now.

The roof is almost complete. It has been very hot here so I think work may be going a little slower than expected. Also wow I was looking at the roof trusses today and there are a lot of different angles to our roof. I didn’t really realize how complicated it is. It looks like they are having to do a lot of work to tie it all together.

The trusses are all up and they have started the roofing. It is looking like a house now.

We stopped by today and it looks like the 2nd floor is going up.

Today they built the floor on the piers and it looks awesome! It is really starting to take shape.

A few days back I discovered a huge mistake in the curtain wall around the garage. They had centered the garage door instead of keeping it to the right so it did not intrude on the extra 4′ we added to the left of the garage. The builder was very gracious about the issue after we discussed that neither of us noticed this when we went over the plans. About a day or two later all was fixed.
Yesterday all the floor joists and roof trusses arrived. It looks like construction should start soon.
The concrete for the garage is complete too.
