London’s Science Award

We went to London’s science awards today. She won 2 awards, 1 for Central SC 6th grade project and one for USC Sumter Physical Sciences Junior Div. London also received a $50.00 savings bond too. We are very proud of her.

Today was 80′s day for my cute wife at work. WOW I think those are the same cloths she wore when I met her.

Costa Maya

Today we were in Costa Maya Mexico. Today was one of our shorter days. We arrived at 7 and had to leave by 3pm. I was little disappointed with that. It was too early and left too early but all in all turned out to be a great day. We were able to get some awesome deals on a piece of jewelry for each of the kids to remember the trip and a few trinkets for the house too. Costa Maya is a beautiful little port. We did not venture too far away due the short amount of time we had. I think we have already misplaced a few of our guests on this trip and prefer I not be one of them. They had a couple restaurants lots of shops and a great pool. As we all were a little sun burned from the beach day we opted no pool today. They had a couple different dancing shows on the island today and those were interesting. Unfortunately tomorrow will be our last full day. We are at sea and then off the boat Saturday. It has been so great. I am already looking forward to the next one.

Mahogany Bay

Today we spent the day at Mahogany Bay Island of Rotan. This is an area that Carnival has built up with others to make a port with shops, restaurants, and a beach. There is a lot of other things to do on the island but we had really just wanted to go to the beach that day and play in the water with the kids. We had a great day just relaxing and swimming around. The water was a little cold at first but the weather and water warmed up quick. London unfortunately cut her toe on a shell or rock on the beach when we were about to leave. All was well but scared me at first. Blood always looks worse in the water. We dried it off and went looking for some band aids or something to cover it with. Within a few minutes security at the beach had seen me carry her out of the water and called medical over right away. They were all so helpful and nice. They had her fixed and up in a jiffy. We spent some more time looking around then jumped back on the boat for a great evening.

Our Day In Mexico

. Yesterday was a day at Cozumel. We had a great time. Got off the boat and went through a few of the shops at the pier. (BTW we have not been here in 6+ years and it was not long after a hurricane. They have really fixed up the piers and shops. The City looks much improved. It still has its areas that are not good but all in all it was great. I also felt very safe. Police were on every other corner. All the people were friendly and helpful. ) Then jumped in a taxi ride and if you have ever been in a taxi in Mexico it’s an adventure unto its own. We almost hit 2 pedestrians and a couple cars. It’s so fun all without seatbelts. YEA!! LOL!! Today we are off to Belize. I woke up to a beautiful sunrise as we were pulling into Belize. We have never been here and we are excited to go explore

Mexico

Good Morning everyone. We are a few hours out of Mexico and having a great time so far. The Carnival Dream is an amazing boat. Nonstop food, fun and entertainment. I have eaten more in the last 2 days then I think ate in a month. We are really enjoying the time with the Kids. It is great to not have Phone service or internet. This is the first time I have checked the internet in 2 days. I am usually on it every hour or more.
The morning was so beautiful I came out to the balcony to check my email. Post this blog and make all of you jealous. I wish you were all here enjoying this too.
